Rising singer/songwriter Arin Ray takes on frenemies in the video for his “We Ain’t Homies” remix featuring YG.
The Dad-directed clip is a grainy black-and-white journey through nature. Ray walks around with a fake friend grasping onto his leg, but he doesn’t allow that to hold him back.
Later, YG joins him in an old school ride. Donning a hoodie in the shotgun seat, YG also blasts frauds who try to act too friendly. The guys ride around the city and the hills together, while bashing phonies.
“We Ain’t Homies” is the lead single off Arin Ray’s debut album, Platinum Fire, which dropped earlier this month. The project also features Ty Dolla $ign, DRAM, Childish Major, SiR, and Terrace Martin.
“This is history for me, 22 years in the making,” he said. “I put my life into this shit. Changing the way we listen to music has always been a dream and this is my opportunity.”
