Luke James thrilled the crowd at Spotlight Live on Tuesday night. The special event, which was put on by Island Def Jam, featured the rising star performing along with The-Dream, August Alsina and BJ The Chicago Kid. Luke’s ability to turn new listeners, and even the harshest critics into fans is uncanny, as he captivates with such honest, strong emotion and impeccable, soaring vocals.
The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter hit the industry-filled crowd with cuts off his latest mixtape Whispers In The Dark, previous single “Make Love To Me,” crowd favorite “I Want You,” and his latest song “I.O.U.” As smoke filled the stage and the lights changed between shades of red and blue, Luke delivered an extraordinary performance of The Runners-produced ballad.
