New Music: Eric Bellinger – Valentine

By

Love is in the bag, that’s an EaZy call.

Eric Bellinger always has something on deck, so when February rolled around it was time to drop a quick gem for our Valentine’s Day playlists. The R&B crooner just shared his E-Mix of Drake’s “God’s Plan” and in less than 24 hours he releases a sweet loosie track for the lovers holiday with the aptly titled “Valentine.”

“It could be a lituation / Come with me share my vibration,” he sings. “But not just for tonight, more like 365 / More like 3 kids / When we vibe you feel a way / Between your legs it’s a dinner plate / Swimming pools in the summer babe / In Maldives in the winter babe / Gimme your heart don’t be afraid.”

Giving an explanation for the release, Eric wrote: “When we first came up with this song, we had no intentions on putting it out for Valentine’s Day lol Me & my brother @theheir were just goin through beats & it was 1 of 19 Voice Notes that I recorded that day while listening to new waves. I was originally thinking more so along the lines of an Everyday Valentine rather than the Holiday.”

But, it was more than just dropping something for the sake of staying consistent. The message is always love and positivity and he wanted to share that light with those in need. “We never ended up doin anything with the song so when February came around it just felt right to give it to the people,” he said. “They need it! Women need it! Men need it! The world needs it! It’s crazy because I’ve been seeing & hearing a lot of releases this year and a lot of hearts have gone cold. Such a negative vibe around this time… I’m just glad I been blessed with the ability to articulate Love in a way that ONLY I can!!!! Figured I’d take it back to the basics with this one… Would you be my #Valentine.”

At the top of the month, Eric released his epic music video for “G.O.A.T. 2.0” featuring Wale and Teyana Taylor. The single is climbing at radio, and he is currently gearing up to release his next album, Eazy Call, which is coming soon.
