Chrisette Michele is getting prepared to celebrate, and in the spirit of moving forward she has put any differences aside with Rick Ross, as they reunite on the soulful new single “Equal,” off her forthcoming 5th album Milestone.

On their new duet, Chris sings about how she’s half of her man, and how ego doesn’t look good on people. Then the MMG boss offers up an apology and proclaims his love for his “Aston Martin Music” collaborator.

“I’ve been in love with you for six years,” he confesses. “Since ‘Aston Martin Music’ / Drizzy came behind you on that smooth shit.”

Milestone is set to drop June 10. The “trap-soul” described project also features collaborations with Meet Sims and Mali Music. Chrisette says this album is different from all the others because she’s personally picked up the pen to take us on this journey, writing personal stories to each and every track. The project is executive produced by her fiancé Doug “Biggs” Ellison. She’s singing about love that she’s found, and the fact that she is no longer broken. “This music is a testament to all things being possible and finally, a true tale of love,” says Chrisette. “I’ve pushed thru the music industry and began my own record label. I’ve gotten engaged after so much heartbreak. The album is upbeat, honest, triumphant and fun. I’m calling the shots and it feels so good!”

In addition to the new single, Chrisette has shared personal video blogs and acoustic performances of multiple tracks off the album, including “Edge of the Bar,” “Ebony,” “Steady” and more. Check them out below.
