Growing up in Northern Chicago and being classically trained on the piano at age six is not what the modern day youth would classify as being a hip artist. However, G The Mastermind knew from an early age that he would incorporate his honed skills as a composer/producer using his trained ear and his engaging falsetto to create compelling compositions. While attending the illustrious Howard University, G discovered his passion for engineering and producing an array of musical genres. His determination and drive led him to become one of the top engineers in Washington D.C.
As a producer, audio engineer and artist, G The Mastermind’s credits include working with artists such as Gucci Mane, Future, Styles P and many more. Continuing to build his brand he has now released the new single “No Wannabe” featuring Mariam.
G is currently prepping to perform the single for the first time at his first headlining show at The Fillmore in Silver Springs, MD on September 4. The song will also be officially released to iTunes on Sept. 4, but you can hear it now in full below:
