Sevyn Streeter is finally ready to give the world her official debut album! Following her acclaimed 2013 EP ‘Call Me Crazy, But…‘ the R&B vixen has been building anticipation for her first LP, which is due out this year via Atlanta Records.
Currently led by the feel-good, party single “Don’t Kill The Fun” featuring Chris Brown, the singer/songwriter has now revealed the title of the album. Named ON THE VERGE, Sevyn took to Instagram to make the announcement and share some personal feelings on why she chose that as the title.
In a note to fans Sevyn wrote:
“The moment before something great happens…you can feel it! This album is my “something great.” My thoughts, desires, fears, tears, emotional ups, downs, good times, drunken nights & unforgettable memories all rolled up into one body of work. We’re all “ON THE VERGE” of something – whether it’s a wild night, a break up or a breakthrough! I’ve experienced all of the above & I’m ready for whatever else the world throws at me! That’s why I chose “ON THE VERGE” as my album title! 2 record deals in, but the 3rd one was the charm! Nothing can kill this moment, this experience & the overwhelming feeling of anticipation for the journey I’m about to go on with my fans! STREETTEAM I hope you’re ready ’cause we’re “ON THE VERSE” of something beautiful!”
The album is expected to include appearances from Ty Dolla $ign (“Fallen”), August Alsina, and potentially B.o.B, who Sevyn is currently dating. She recently returned home to Haines City, Florida to film a video for a new song titled “4th Street,” which will be released soon.
