After multiple successful mixtapes, Verse Simmonds is prepping for the release of his next project, “1996.” The Def Jam/Bu Vision singer/songwriter has revealed an official trailer for the mixtape, which includes footage of Verse in the studio and at photoshoots for the artwork.
“1996 what it means to me and the reason I wanted to put together this project is because I wanted to bring back the feel of what the ’90s era was to everybody,” explained Verse. “I’m not tryin to bring it back to that, what I am trying to do is capture that feeling that that era had, that let you know that people really loved their craft and really loved what they were doing, and so they took their time and created records that lasted.”
