Miguel has been officially announced as a Guest Music Supervisor for the February 6th episode of MTV’s reality series ‘Washington Heights.’ The upcoming episode of the show is expected to feature Miguel’s “Adorn” as well as other Los Angeles-based artists, including “Is It Love?” by Thundercat and “My Type of Party” by Dom Kennedy.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter went into the process with the intention to marry the East Coast to the West Coast, “What I really wanted to accomplish with this opportunity was somehow bridging the gap,” he said. “I thought it would be a really good juxtaposition to take young, hungry kids from New York and help tell their stories with music from young, up-and-coming and hungry kids from L.A.”

‘Washington Heights’ revolves around a group of nine young New Yorkers attempting to navigate the obstacles in the way of their individual dreams. Ceck out the video below as Miguel talks about the Guest Music Supervisor process.
