Elijah Blake Sings Preview of “All Black Everything” on DJ Carisma’s “Cookie Jar”

Last night, DJ Carisma and Abby de la Rosa returned to the internet streets with a new episode of “The Cookie Jar.” The homies were joined by one of our favorite emerging artists, Grammy-Award winning Elijah Blake.

The singer/songwriter talked about his early start, how and why he began as a songwriter, getting a co-sign from Mary J. Blige and Usher to pursue his career as an artist. He discussed the reasoning and meaning behind his EP title, ‘Bijoux 22,’ shared why he feels “Climax” wouldn’t have been as big if it was his or another lesser known artists song, comparisons to Frank Ocean and The Weeknd, learning from producer No I.D. and he shared some details about his anticipated debut album, revealing that there will be alternative influences but it is still a R&B album.

He even dropped a lil gem by singing an acapella preview of one of the album cuts, “All Black Everything,” produced by Salaam Remi, which he dubbed his stalker record.
