With heavy talks of a posthumous Aaliyah album being in the works, Aaliyah’s brother Rashad has made a public statement on behalf of the Haughton family in regard to the album rumors. Read what he said on Aaliyah’s official Facebook page below…
“There is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family.” -Rashad Haughton (regarding upcoming album release rumors)
The Haughton family has continued the sentiment of no new releases virtually since Aaliyah’s death and Rashad’s statements further reiterate that. Whether the album will continue into production without the families approval remains to be seen. Until then we can continue to enjoy the music Aaliyah knowingly left behind. August 25th will mark the 11th Anniversary of the beloved entertainers death.

I wish they would put this idea to rest no need for a new album
