Following the well-received release of her EP Armor On and in celebration of her 1 million Twitter followers, Dawn Richard premieres the first record from her full-length debut Goldenheart, the first in a trilogy of albums, dropping October 16. The former Dirty Money member introduces the sound of the project with “Pretty Wicked Things,” produced and co-written by Armor On collaborator Druski, the haunting track is available on iTunes.
“It’s the story of the beautiful things in life that get ruined by the wicked,” explains Dawn. “Goldenheart is the fusing of new sounds with R&B/soul. We are introducing the setup to Goldenheart with the release of ‘Pretty Wicked Things.’ This isn’t a single. It’s a setup. We have a lot of surprises for the hearts. Grow with us.”
