Billboard’s own backstage correspondent at Sunday night’s BBMA’s, Downtown Julie Brown, caught up with the amazing Alicia Keys following her stirring performance with Stevie Wonder. The R&B star revealed in the moment, as she expressed how much of an inspiration Stevie is to her and everyone. She also spoke about her anticipated new album, in which she described, “I’m finishing up baking up the most incredible musical cake that you’ve ever eaten in your life.”
