Mariah Carey’s troubled Angels Advocate album (the remix project of Memories Of An Imperfect Angel) has officially been shelved. According to MariahDaily, her management has officially announced, “the album will not be put out in the regular album fashion but they are working on releasing some singles off the album. “It won’t go to waste,” we were assured. Mariah and her team have their focus set on the next album and how to put this out creatively and financially effective. “We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album. The decision hasn’t been totally made yet. It’s a creative process that cannot be rushed.” This project was troubled from the start. Although I liked the idea of hearing those records reworked and made into a R&B/Hip-Hop jambalaya. It seemed as if the project was just not organized. Last reported the album was only going to be a see a physical release in Target stores, while it would still be fully available in all digital outlets. If rushing into another project is what they want to do, best of luck to them. In my opinion Mariah needs to take another step back, even a couple years to have to herself and regroup. What do you think? Stay tuned for any updates.
