August Alsina Announces “Don’t Matter Tour”

August Alsina kicked off 2017 with the release of 3 new songs, “Drugs,” “Wait” and “Lonely,” followed by the announcement that he was readying the release of his third studio album, which is also titled Drugs.

He has yet to confirm a release date, but fans can get excited to see the New Orleans native back on stage, as he has announced an upcoming tour called the “Don’t Matter Tour.”

The summer theater trek will kick off July 27 in San Antonio, Texas and hit 24 North American cities, including New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles and more before closing Sept. 2 in Vancouver, BC.

On the tour Alsina will be supported by singer/actor Rotomi and one of our favorite new rising singer/songwriters Tone Stith. Tickets will be on sale soon.

Khalid Announces 25-Date “American Teen Tour”

Buzzing singer-songwriter, Khalid will be hitting the road once again in promotion of his acclaimed debut album American Teen.

The 19-year-old artist has announced his second headlining tour, “The American Teen Tour,” which is scheduled to kick off July 12 in Portland, OR. Khalid is set to make stops in 25 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and more before closing out Sept. 21 in San Francisco.

The RCA Records signee emerged on the scene as one of 2016’s breakout stars, spurred by his hit single “Location,” which peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, and still remains in the chart’s top 20.

In addition to bringing his sounds to fans this summer, Forever 21 has announced the launch of their Global Campaign featuring the singer. He will become the face of Forever 21’s Summer Digital Campaign, #F21xMusic, and Men’s Line.

Mary J. Blige Announces “Strength of a Woman Tour”

Mary J. Blige is bringing her ‘Strength’ to a city near you this summer!

Hot on the heels of releasing her acclaimed new album, Strength of a Woman, the 9x Grammy Award-winner has announced her upcoming “Strength of a Woman Tour,” which kicks off July 30 in Chicago.

The North American trek is scheduled to travel to 21 cities, including New York, Atlanta, Miami, Nashville, Dallas, Los Angeles, and more before culminating Sept. 9 in Oakland, CA at The Paramount Theatre.

Blige has invited fellow R&B songstress Lalah Hathaway to join the tour as her supporting act. The tour will continue to support the release of Mary’s 13th studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Album Chart.

Bell Biv DeVoe, SWV, & En Vogue Team Up for Spring/Summer Tour

90s R&B fans get ready! Three of the decade’s biggest acts have joined forces for a spring/summer 2017 tour!

Hot of the release of their comeback album Three Stripes, Bell Biv DeVoe have announced their “Three Stripes Tour.”  The North American trek will include R&B powerhouse groups, En Vogue — who will be promoting their upcoming album Electric Cafe, and SWV — who are continuing to support their most recent release, Still.

For the first time ever, these extraordinary artists are taking the stage together in what promises to deliver memorable performances filled with funk, soul, and harmony.  On select dates, Guy will join the bill as well.

The tour kicks off today (May 13) in Jacksonville, Florida and travels to 16 cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Dallas and more before closing August 6 in Columbia, Maryland.

Maxwell Releases “King & Queen Tour” Film on TIDAL

Maxwell will get back on the road this month, kicking off his Summers 17 arena tour on May 23 with support from Common, Ledisi and Leela James.

However, before he brings his lush vocals to audiences once again, the crooner is giving fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at his international tour last year with Mary J. Blige, in the documentary “The King & Queen of Hearts World Tour.” The 20-minute black and white film debuted exclusively on Tidal today (May 5).

In the film, shot backstage and onstage in Europe, Maxwell talks about the “family” chemistry between him and the musicians in his band, his two-decade journey from waiter to Grammy Award-winning singer and the excitement of touring with Queen Mary.

“Sometimes I deliver; sometimes I don’t,” says a candid Maxwell. “But my greatest intention is to make sure that people get their money’s worth and walk away with something they can remember for the rest of their lives hopefully.”

Erykah Badu Announces “Badu Vs. Everythang Tour”

Grammy Award-winning songstress Erykah Badu is coming to a city or country near you this summer, on her newly announced “Badu vs. Everythang Tour.”

After celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album Baduizm this past February, the singer-songwriter will be bringing old and new material to stages across 9 different countries kicking off in Alabama at the Birmingham Funk Fest this coming Saturday (May 6).

The surprise tour is set to make stops at several festivals including FYF Fest on July 22 in Los Angeles, Calif. and Meadows Festival on Sept. 16 in Queens, New York. She’ll also be taking her talents abroad for select dates in Paris, London, Italy and Japan.

Janet Jackson Announces 56 City Fall Tour, “State of the World”

The news that many fans were speculating on has officially been confirmed by Janet Jackson through a personal video message!

After teasing the announcement with a countdown that launched on her website over the weekend, the pop icon has posted a video update about her plans to return to the stage.

Jackson opens the video with a sweet message about her baby boy, Eissa, and then confirms her divorce from her husband of five years, Wissam Al Mana.  Only touching on it briefly she says, “we are in court and the rest is in Gods hands.”

The news that everyone was waiting for though, Janet then reveals is true.  She will be continuing the tour that she had to cut short when she became pregnant last year. Originally titled the “Unbreakable World Tour,” the new trek will be called, “State of the World Tour,” named after the single off her classic 1989 album Rhythm Nation 1814.  The 56 city tour kicks off September 7 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

“I’m continuing my tour, as promised,” she said. “I’m so excited. I decided to change the name of the tour — State of the World Tour. It’s not about politics. It’s about people, the world, relationships, and just love.”

Kevin Ross Announces “The Awakening Tour”

Motown Records revered new crooner Kevin Ross is set to hit the road on his first North American headlining tour.

The R&B singer/songwriter, who released his debut album The Awakening last month, will kick off “The Awakening Tour” on May 24 in Chicago at City Winery.

The intimate club run will hit 16 cities including shows at Vinyl in Atlanta (June 6), SOB’s in New York City (June 8), the Viper Room in Los Angeles, CA (June 17) and Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA (July 18).

Tickets for “The Awakening Tour” are on sale now and can be purchased on Ross’ website.
