VIDEO: TONY BENNETT & AMY WINEHOUSE – BODY AND SOUL (OFFICIAL)

On what would have been her 28th birthday, Tony Bennett releases the video for his duet with the late Amy Winehouse. The soothing jazz classic, which will appear on Bennett’s star-studded album Duets II (Sept. 20), is said to be the singer’s last completed recording before she passed away in July and serves as a lasting tribute to her tremendous talent.

The clip, comprised of footage from their recording sessions in March at Abbey Road Studios in London, was filmed by Oscar-winning cinematographer Dion Beebe (Chicago). Enjoy!

Now more than a month since her tragic passing, footage from one of Amy Winehouse’s last recording sessions has been released. Go behind-the-scenes as the late singer records “Body & Soul,” with Tony Bennett for his upcoming “Duets II” album. Amy discussed the first time she met Mr. Bennett, whom she affectionately called ‘Tone,‘ and why the song held sentimental value to both she and her father.

A full video of their collaboration will be released September 14th.

Mariah Carey delivers some new music for the first time since delivering her twins. The diva duets with Tony Bennett on a remake of his jazzy piano number “When Do the Bells Ring for Me,” one of the many collaborations on his 85th birthday album Duets II (Sept. 20). MC has also signed on as a “guest of a judge” on the U.S. edition of Simon Cowell’s “X Factor,” premiering September 21.

BRUNO MARS PAYS TRIBUTE TO AMY WINEHOUSE AT VMA’S (VIDEO)

Bruno Mars honored the late Amy Winehouse during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, performing her cover of The Zutons’ “Valerie.” Many thought Amy’s fellow Brit, vocal powerhouse Adele, should have took part in the tribute, but I’m not mad at Bruno’s performance, At-All! The tribute kicked off with a few words from comedian Russell Brand, followed by a heartfelt introduction from Tony Bennett that featured studio footage from their collaboration “Body & Soul,”  then Bruno took the stage in a stunning remembrance of the soulful songstress.

It seems legendary jazz singer Tony Bennett recorded a duet with late British singer Amy Winehouse which is said to be her ‘final recording’. The song, a remake of a classic jazz record, ‘Body and Soul.’

All proceeds from the single will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation – a children’s charity.

FYI- Kanye “Watch The Throne” West is said to be preparing to remix Winehouse’s classic album ‘Back To Black’ for a September release.
