New Video: Tinashe – Flame

Tinashe is ready to literally let it burn!

The video for the SoCal songstress’s latest single “Flame” is bringing the heat in more ways than one. In the visuals, the R&B star tells a story about a sweet love that was lost way before she was ready for it to end.

We see shots of Tinashe and her boo sharing a home filled with loving memories, including breakfast in bed, relaxing days by the pool, and laughs shared doing simple things like brushing their teeth and taking selfies.

Then, almost without warning, the 24-year-old goes full on Angela Bassett from Waiting to Exhale and sets fire to the house that held so many happy memories. Tinashe uses the visual to create a stark contrast between the hope of rekindling the flame that she’s singing about in the song and the reality of what it feels like when a lover stops loving you back.

If he can’t love her anymore, then everything’s going down in flames!

Rihanna, Kehlani, Sevyn, Tinashe & More Storm Coachella 2017

As if the desert wasn’t hot enough on the first weekend of Coachella 2017, some of R&B’s sexiest starlets stormed the annual spring festival to enjoy the good vibes.

While only a few of our favorites were actually on the bill, like Kehlani and NAO, others–like Rihanna–made surprise appearances, and some were there to attend the brand events, like Solange and Tinashe.

During her Sunday night set, Kehlani rocked a lose fitting white outfit that had ‘Find Our Girls’ written on her top, and ‘Solidarity’ down the leg of her pants.

Rihanna had social media in a craze over her shimmering full body suit with low cut Gucci tank top and jean shorts on Day 2, and she was seen turning up in the crowd to Kendrick Lamar’s set on Day 3.

The Weeknd, who came out to perform with XO producer-turned-artist NAV, spent some quality time with girlfriend Selena Gomez backstage. Singers like Sevyn Streeter, SZA, Christina Milian, Justine Skye and more all were in attendance as well to take in the performances and mingle during the events.

Buzzing teen singer-songwriter Khalid caught up with Solange and Kehlani, who also spent some time with Sevyn and SZA on Day 2. Jhené Aiko and her sister Mila J were also hanging around. Jhené posted a photo on Instagram that said her body was in Coachella but her heart is at the Lightning in a Bottle Festival, which is coming up on Memorial Day Weekend.

Check out all their festive fun with the photos and video footage below.

Tinashe Performs New Single “Flame” on ‘The Tonight Show’

Last night (Mar. 30), Tinashe let it burn with the first televised performance of her hot new pop single “Flame” on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.’

Rocking a shiny red bubble coat over a tight red crop top and ripped up jeans, the sexy singer rocked the studio stage in front of a large assortment of candles and red lighting as she belted out the infectious anthem.

“Tell me that you still got the flame for me / And tell me that you still want to stay, don’t leave … And we can let it burn,” she sings.

Tinashe has been prepping for the release of her long-awaited sophomore album Joyride, which follows her surprise 2016 project Nightride, that set up the first half of the two-part series.

“I see them as two things that are equally the same,” she recently told Rolling Stone about the two albums. “I think you can be a combination of things, and that’s what makes people human and complex. They are equally me. I don’t like to be limited to one particular thing so I want to represent that duality and that sense of boundlessness in my art.”

New Music: Tinashe – Flame

Tinashe is getting ready to heat up!

The pop/R&B songstress looks to go big with her ambitious new single “Flame,” her first single of 2017, and latest release off her delayed sophomore album Joyride.

Showing off her sexy figure in the red hot cover art, the singer/songwriter flexes her pop appeal on the mid-tempo song, which is aimed at the pop charts. Over production by Sir Nolan, Tinashe sets her sights on rekindling romance with a former lover as she sings, “Tell me that you still got the flame for me / And tell me that you still want to stay, don’t leave … And we can let it burn.”

After pushing back her anticipated Joyride album last year, the Cali native surprised fans with the end of the year project, Nightride, which boasted the single “Company,” and acted as the precursor to Joyride. It boasted similar vibes to her previous mixtape days and where she is headed with the new album. “I see them as two things that are equally the same,” she told Rolling Stone. “I think you can be a combination of things, and that’s what makes people human and complex. They are equally me. I don’t like to be limited to one particular thing so I want to represent that duality and that sense of boundlessness in my art.”

Take a listen to “Flame” below. Do you think Tinashe can burn up the charts with this one?
