Monica & Shannon Brown Announce “Wood Star Music Festival” on ’106 & Park’
Rocsi’s favorite couple stopped by the ’106 & Park’ studio on Monday evening. Monica and her hubby Shannon Brown of the Phoenix Suns announced the “Wood Star Music Festival.” The three-day event, which benefits the Shannon Brown Foundation and giving back to the community, will take place in Chicago from August 17-19.
“Now that sports is a part of my life and music is a part of his, let’s bring them both together,” said Monica, who will perform at the festival on August 17, along with Robin Thicke, Estelle, Fantasia, and Dawn Richard.

Monica has been making headlines this past weekend for her lavish wedding to L.A. Laker Shannon Brown. Albeit, the couple was already legally married, the event marks the first full-out ceremony to commemorate the nuptials with a guest list including names like Lala Vasquez, Kobe Bryant, LL Cool J and others.

The couple, who quietly tied the knot last November, exchanged Christian vows at Vibiana, a renovated 19th century cathedral in downtown Los Angeles.
