Watch: Sevyn Streeter Performs “It Won’t Stop” Acoustic in a Boxing Gym

Even if the location wasn’t her idea, she still did this and looked like she had a blast doing it!

While down in New Orleans for the ESSENCE Music Festival in early July, NPR set up a special acoustic session with the R&B songstress in a local boxing gym. “Away from a studio — and air conditioning — in a New Orleans boxing gym, Streeter executed with muscle and grace,” they wrote.

Performing her hit single “It Won’t Stop,” Sevyn sang the heck out of the sexy song, with added vocal inflections and even some new lyrics in vein of Ty Dolla $ign’s club hit “Or Nah.”

Sevyn Streeter Covers ‘Rolling Out’ Magazine, Talks Songwriting With Chris Brown

While many may think that Sevyn Streeter‘s fame has turned over night, the 28-year-old songstress has actually been in the game for over 10 years. Getting her start in a two girl groups and songwriting for some of your favorite artists, Sevyn has now found skyrocketing fame with her own material.

Armed with a vocal talent not compared to the rest, Sevyn has become one of the top artists whose debut albums we have anticipated. Noticing the same that we notice, urban magazine Rolling Out decided to tap the young singer to cover their latest issue of the famed mag.

Dressed in a blue crop top with a matching skirt, the Florida native shines bright in her shoot. Discussing her journey into music, Sevyn touches on why songwriting with Chris Brown has been one of the best things to happen to her. Stating, “You’re not put in a box when you go to write for Chris or with Chris,” the “B.A.N.S.” cooer expresses her appreciation for the highly publicized artist.

Sevyn Streeter Celebrates Birthday with Trey Songz, Tank & More

Over the July 4th holiday weekend Sevyn Streeter celebrated her 28th birthday while in New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival.

Friends, family and fellow artists joined the R&B singer at Muriel’s Reasturant to eat, drink and party.  Sevyn was joined by the likes of Trey Songz, Tank, Raheem DeVaughn, Kenny Burns and more at the private birthday bash.

After the meal each shared some special words for Sevyn, and she was serenaded by Tank and Trey as they wished her a Happy Birthday.

Sevyn Streeter Previews New Babyface Collaboration “Fight For Me”

Sevyn Streeter has been consistently impressing fans and critics with her music and writing for other artists. Coming off her acclaimed debut EP ‘Call Me Crazy, But…,’ and writing collaborations for the likes of Chris Brown, Tamar Braxton, Ariana Grande and many more, the buzzing R&B princess is getting ready to bless the world with more new music.

Along with touring this year, Sevyn has been putting the finishing touches on her anticipated full-length album, which is due out later this year via CBE/Atlantic. While doing press at the BET Awards weekend, the singer/songwriter gave Konan of 92Q Jams in Baltimore a special preview of a big new collaboration with the legendary Babyface.

The record will be titled “Fight For Me,” and it was inspired by a past relationship where she wanted her boyfriend to fight for her in order to save their relationship.

Now, following his performance at The BET Experience in L.A., Mack has decided to jump on Sevyn’s latest single “nEXt,” with a remix of his own, in the form of a love letter.

“So I’m sorry Ms. Streeter I need ya, it may be hard to tell / Love ain’t seem to do as well / But I’ll give up my boring heaven for this beautiful hell, long as we both feel the flames as well fell,” raps Mack. Whoa, that’s dedication!

Featuring both Mack Wilds and famed radio host Angela Yee, the simple yet effective visual hosts Sevyn going through the motions as she finds out that her man stepped out on her and got another woman pregnant. Surrounded by her girls and a few bottles she sings out, “I should’ve used protection, instead of moving so fast”.

Sevyn Streeter has been dropping some remixes of her own with the latest being the new YG version to her single “nEXt,” but now the rising R&B songstress jumps on the official remix to her labelmate B.o.B‘s new single “John Doe.”

Sounding great on the track, which boasts new production as well, Sevyn fills in for Priscilla Renea on the reworked version.

“Seems like the bus moves slower, just cuz you’ve got somewhere to go / So, you take a few pills in Beverly Hills, but if anyone asks you, you’ve got a prescription / You’ve got an addiction who do you think you’re foolin,” she gracefully sings on the anthemic tune.

Sevyn Streeter‘s latest single “nEXt” has been given it’s next look with the official remix featuring YG. Following the Kid Ink version, the singer-songwriter has now released a video for the YG remix.

Switching out Kid Ink for another male lead, the visual follows the same theme of Sevyn being dumped by her boyfriend, starting a new relationship with another guy, and then rekindling the love with her last dude. Adding in scenes with YG, the Bompton rapper drops two slick verses in the Derek Blanks-directed video.

Additionally, Sevyn has also released a full visual for her ‘Call Me Crazy, But…‘ EP fan favorite cut “Sex On The Ceiling.” Showing off some sexy looks and gravity defying poses the R&B vixen sex’s up the screen in the colorful clip.
