Pretty Ricky Talk Comeback, New Music, Rumors, & More on “The Breakfast Club”

Pretty Ricky Breakfast Club

Pretty Ricky is ready to officially make their comeback!  The R&B group–consisting of Baby Blue, Spectacular, Slick’Em, and Pleasure P — paid a visit to “The Breakfast Club” for a new interview.

In addition to discussing their new music and forthcoming album, the Florida natives talked about how and why they re-formed the group, the first song they ever wrote, going on tour, “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” rumors, and how they responded when Pleasure P left the group.

Speaking about their decision to reunite now, Pleasure explained: “I don’t think it’s about this era to be honest. I think it’s just about our fans and the people that love us. We sold out a lot of shows recently. We just put it up and within a week or two they were sold out. We playin the same venues that any artists that are out right now, playing and selling it out.”

Additionally, they addressed more rumors over the years including Baby Blue’s sexual allegations, Slick’Em’s sex tape and STD rumors, Pleasure P’s false child molestation allegations, and Spectacular’s viral underwear tape. One of the most surprising moments was when Spec discussed his highly successful social media company, which helps grow and monetize celebrities social accounts.

Earlier this week, Pleasure P shared a new solo song, “For A Long Time,” and today they all returned with the brand new single “Good Girlz.”

New Music: Pleasure P – For A Long Time

pleasure-p-foralongtime

Pleasure P is back again with something special for the fans. Following the release of his sexy bedroom-ready record, “Love You Little” from this past spring, the R&B hitmaker has unleashed, “For A Long Time.”  The record might sound familiar to some, as it was written and recorded by the late Static Major, and produced by Bryan-Michael Cox.

Over the silky B.Cox production, P holds back no emotions delivering the romantic ballad about finally hooking up with a ‘long-time’ crush.

“I got a secret, that I’ve holding from you / Don’t know what I should do / Girl I’m with you everyday / Because we work together, can we mix business with pleasure?,” he sings.

Pleasure P and Static Major’s relationship goes back to the early Pretty Ricky days. Speaking of which, the Florida natives have reunited and have been working on material for their anticipated comeback album.

In the meantime, check out “For A Long Time” below.

New Music: Pleasure P – Love You Little

It’s well past Valentine’s Day, but R&B crooner Pleasure P has released a brand new tune that continues the romantic vibes into the spring time.

Titled, “Love You Little,” the piano-laced ballad features the singer/songwriter penning a love letter dedicated to the woman he wants to spend his life with, but almost lost.

Promising to give her more than in the past, Pleasure admits he wasn’t giving her everything before, but he’s realized she deserves every ounce of his heart.

“This time I’ll make it last / Before I didn’t know what I had / But now, I’ma love ya ’til the end / Even more than a best friend / I’ma hold you down ’til the very end,” he sings.

We haven’t received any word if P is planning to release a new solo project soon, but he is currently working again with his Pretty Ricky brothers on their comeback album, which is expected to be released this year. In February, they reunited on stage together at the inaugural Soulquarius Festival.

Pleasure P Says “R&B Ain’t Dead, the Artists In It Are “

Pleasure-P-Smallz

Earlier this year, Pleasure P teamed up with fellow R&B artists Bobby V and Ray J on the viral single “Bad Habit.”  When asked about the collaboration during a recent interview with DJ Smallz, the singer-songwriter offered up some unfiltered opinions on the current state of R&B music and fellow R&B artists of his era.

Commenting that there are too many fake artists in the game today, and no one wants to work together to keep the genre alive, he said, “R&B ain’t dead, the artists in it are.”

P continued to address other artists, “Y’all chasing rappers, now it’s at the point rappers don’t even need y’all no more. They putting auto tune, they singing on they own sh*t now.” He ended the clip by claiming his goal isn’t to offend, but just to be honest.
