Following the release of “Sticking To My Guns,” the singer/songwriter/musician quickly returns with the heartfelt new love song.

Singing about reliving the first moments of falling in love with his lady, the crooner celebrates their romance, and never-ending relationship.

PJ Morton is back and bringing some good Nawlins party vibes with him.

The singer/songwriter/musician gets us ready for the summer and good times with friends in the new video for his song “I Need Your Love” featuring rapper 5th Ward Weebie. The New Orleans native originally released the song on his album Walk Alone, and then in live form last year. PJ Morton Announces New Live Album/DVD ‘Live Show Killer,’ Releases Lead Single “I Need Your Love”

Grammy-nominated artist and Maroon 5 keyboardist PJ Morton has announced that he will be releasing a brand new live album/DVD package titled, Live Show Killer, which is set to drop on July 7, via his newly formed label Morton Records.

Recorded in front of an intimate audience at the historic Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles in early May 2015, PJ and his band The Crusade performed a special set including fan favorites, surprise covers, and hand-picked selections from his celebrated solo releases, including many songs from his 2013 album New Orleans, which hit #1 on the iTunes R&B Albums Chart, and earned PJ a Grammy nomination for his collaboration with Stevie Wonder on “Only One.”

The lead release off the collection is “I Need Your Love,” which originated on his Walk Alone album.  “It’s kind of a sad song but feels happy. I’ve always enjoyed that combination,” Morton tells Billboard. “I chose it for the live album because it’s been a crowd favorite for a while. And as a band, we get to stretch out and keep the energy up.”

“This is a direct conversation,” says Morton of the Live Show Killer double package. “I want people to hear and see the perfect energy that was in that room.”

The 18-track live-in-studio album includes features from special guests Tweet and Mali Music.

PJ has also announced summer tour dates, which will bring him to U.S. cities including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia and his hometown of New Orleans.

New Music: PJ Morton – Claustrophobic

PJ Morton Claustrophobic

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard something new from singer/musician PJ Morton, but that has changed now with the release of the new song “Claustrophobic,” co-produced by Darhyl Camper.

While he released the song on iTunes first, PJ says it isn’t an official single, just something that he wanted to get off of his chest.

“This is for everyone who wants to be exactly who they are and not who other people want them to be… for artistic and creative freedom.”

“But I must admit I’m claustrophobic, I have a hard time trying to fit in to your small mind / And I have a habit of dreaming bigger than anything I can see right in front of me,” he sings before describing some of the unfortunate stereotypes industry executives have tried to push him into.

When he is not touring with Maroon 5, PJ is performing at spot dates and recording new music, hopefully for his next album.

PJ Morton Performs “Only One” Live In Studio

Grammy-nominated artist, PJ Morton, has garnered a large amount of success with his love ballad, “Only One” and rightfully so.

The song, which discusses the love that he has for his woman and how she’s the “Only One” he sees, was made for the lover in you. Adding to the already feel good vibe that the originally recorded song gives off, PJ decided to give fans a performance with only him and his piano in his studio.

Sounding as incredible as he does on the recorded track, there should be no confusion as to why a Grammy-nomination was granted for this song.

Take a listen to the live performance of “Only One” above.
