A day earlier than expected, Mario releases his brand-new comeback single! It’s been four years since his last official album (D.N.A.) hit stores, and with many promises of new music falling short, fans of the R&B crooner have been more than patiently waiting for his return.  The Baltimore based singer/songwriter has released “Somebody Else,” which features an impressive verse from Nicki Minaj, and an infectious, hard hitting track produced by Polow Da Don.

“I hope this new song breathes new life into R&B and where I’m gonna take it!” Mario shared about the song. He is currently prepping for the release of his fifth studio album, tentatively titled Restoration.

It seems like forever, and after many false promises Mario is finally returning with new music. The R&B vocalist gets a lift from Nicki Minaj for “Somebody Else,” the first single off his upcoming fifth album.

“I hope this new song breathes new life into R&B and where I’m gonna take it!” said Mario of the Polow Da Don-produced song.

After a very long delay, Mario is finally coming back! The R&B vocalist has announced he will return next week with a brand new single featuring Nicki Minaj.

The new song titled, “Somebody Else,” is produced by Polow Da Don, and scheduled to hit iTunes on Tuesday, May 21. “I hope this new song breathes new life into R&B and where I’m gonna take it!” said the 26-year-old in a handwritten note.

Mario’s upcoming fifth album will reflect the changes in his life. “Nothing can explain the excitement in my heart at this point & time in my life,” he said. “I have changed so much as a man, artist, & creator, and I realize more and more everyday that it’s not about me. It’s about me doing what GOD wants me to do; change the world with my GIFT.”
