Mario Announces He is Changing The Title of His Upcoming Album to ‘Cosmo 17’

Following the release of his sexy music video for “Let Me Help You,” Mario revealed to Music Choice that he has made the ‘choice’ to rename his upcoming album.

The R&B singer/songwriter previously announced that his fifth album, and first independent, would be titled ‘Paradise Cove.’  Now, Mario has had some more time to sit with the project as a whole, and he felt the title did not sum up the music quite right, so he has decided to switch the title to an otherworldly love theme with, Cosmo 17.

“The album title is changed. From ‘Paradise Cove’ to a new title that’s inspired by not only just the music but my perception of where we are in humanity when it comes to love,” he explains.

“The new album title is ‘Cosmo 17,’ and I love Paradise Cove too absolutely. I can’t say that this album has an island vibe I think ‘Let Me Help You is the only record. The rest of the album developing it, it kinda took a life of it’s own. It’s kinda like I was talkin’ to myself as a kid telling him like, ‘love still exists’ like ‘it’s still real’ like you know you still believe in it don’t give up, and if you can’t find it here on earth maybe you gotta go to the cosmos to find it.”

New Music: Mario – Let Me Help You

From “Let Me Love You” to “Let Me Help You,” Mario is back with a brand new single off his forthcoming album.

Previously this year, the R&B vocalist teased fans with the up-tempo record “I Need More,” which had many fans craving more. The pop-leaning “Let Me Help You” is now officially the first single from Mario’s fifth album, Paradise Cove.

The mesmerizing record opens with a gloomy and chilling production that quickly transitions to a vibrant island feel that will have you grooving throughout. Mario flaunts his charisma by pleading with his love interest, letting her know that although he is aware that she is self sufficient, he desires to be there to help her love again.

“R&B needs to feel cool and fun again,” Mario told The FADER. “A simple conversation, catchy melody and a story that draws in my listeners is what I feel like ‘Let Me Help You’ does. There is enough music about egotistical perceptions and not enough about love especially in urban music. Love is still cool to me!”

Mario is planning to deliver his most artistic project yet, Paradise Cove, at the top of next year and is excited to deliver this single as a labor of love to his fans ahead of the holidays.

Video: Mario – I Need More

mario-i-need-more

Mario enters a world of dark mystery in the brand new video for his comeback single “I Need More.”

In the cinematic visual the R&B crooner gets thrown into some type of internment like camp run by the “Rain Dogs.” The reason for his imprisonment is unknown, but Mario is able to inspire the other prisoners into a unified rebellion with a motivational speech in between choreographed dance scenes.

“I Need More” is the lead single off Mario’s first album in seven years, Paradise Cove. Earlier this year, he revealed that the project would showcase what he’s been missing.

“We were able to create a concept, lyrically and sonically, that expresses exactly what I was feeling: the void,” he said. “Even in the midst of manifesting our wildest desires and material gains, it still ain’t enough. You need more: truth, love, happiness, freedom.”

Check out the dance-heavy video below.
