R&B newcomer Deon Young is showing his appreciation for DJ’s all across the world with his new single, “Mad Respect“. The heavy-drum laden cut is the lead release off the Harlem natives EPIC Records debut album, which is coming soon. Take a listen after the jump:
Fresh off the release of his mixtape “Forever Young,” R&B newcomer Deon Young returns with a video for his own rendition of J. Cole’s “Nobody’s Perfect.” The 19-year old Harlemite hits up the barbershop to express his feelings of the diamond he is on the look-out for through his rap-singy style.
Epic Records and Sylvia Rhone signee Deon Young brings his movement from Harlem to your eyes and ears with his “Forever Young” mixtape. The 9-song set and official introduction to this up and comer features the previously released buzz tracks “Blackin’ Out (Cashin’ Out Freestyle)” and “Drank in My Cup,” along with original material including “Party Life” featuring French Montana and the track that started it all “Just Another Love Song.”

Hip Hop Weekly dubbed Deon Young as a ‘Next 2 Blow’ artist, Nike featured him in an ad campaign and he’s currently one of Dr. Jay’s ‘Summer Sensations’ of 2012.
