Ne-Yo has had his share of big moments in his decade long career, working with almost every big name in music, but mostly with the pen. The singer/songwriter has revealed a new milestone, he has recorded a duet with vocal queen Celine Dion. We first reported about the two being in the studio together last summer. When they previously worked together, Ne-Yo was only behind the lyrics, but now they will be sharing the mic together.

Usher, Jennifer Hudson, & More Remember Whitney Houston On GRAMMY Special

Last night some of music and Hollywood’s biggest stars celebrated the life and legacy of Whitney Houston during the tribute special, “We Will Always Love You: A GRAMMY Salute to Whitney Houston,” on CBS. Whitney Houston’s music and spirit is truly timeless and it was proven with kind words shared from presenters which included Halle Berry, Britney Spears, Taraji P. Henson, Clive Davis, and LL Cool J.
The one-hour special featured heartfelt performances from Jennifer Hudson who started with an uptempo dance medley of “I’m Every Woman,” “How Will I Know,” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).” Celine Dion gave a beautiful rendition of “The Greatest Love of All.” Usher performed “I Believe in You and Me” from The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack and lastly two of Gospel’s favorite voices CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams dueted on “Count on Me.”

Ne-Yo Hits The Studio with Celine Dion
Ne-Yo has written hits for much of the music industries biggest stars, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and even Michael Jackson have all solicited his incredible penmanship. Now, the R&B singer-songwriter is hoping to create even more music history with legendary vocalist Celine Dion. The pair reunited in the studio this past Sunday to work on songs for Dion’s forthcoming album Water and a Flame, her first album since 2007′s Taking Chances, which featured their first collaboration, “I Got Nothin’ Left,” produced by Chuck Harmony.
Ne-Yo shared the news tweeting, “The incomparable CELINE DION!! In studio doing something #EPIC God is good, music is good, all the time.”
Dion’s latest album is expected to be released this October, and contain cover songs performed in her Las Vegas show as well as some new records. It was also confirmed that the album will contain a duet with Stevie Wonder on a cover of his hit song “Overjoyed.”
