Ashanti has been working hard on her tentatively untitled, and possibly independent next album. Rumors circulated a while ago that she was heading in a more Euro Club R&B direction. What’s new? Ha. Anyways super DJ/Producer David Guetta had listed Ashanti as one of the new projects he was working on. A title for the record circulated yesterday, it is rumored to be named, “Take Me To Paradise,” and Tank was said to be the songwriter. For now we will have to wait and see. Stay tuned.

Ashanti has recorded her own version of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ which you can listen to below. The R&B songstress produced and arranged the track herself, and it is the first song released from her new record label Written Entertainment. It was recorded for the celebration of The 70th Annivesary of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, but will not appear on her forthcoming fifth studio album. She did an incredible job. Check it out below, thoughts?
