Jhene-Aiko-4

On Friday night, Jhené Aiko sailed into Los Angeles’ Club Nokia for the second time on her “Enter the Void Tour.” After a sold-out show at the venue last Sunday, the L.A. songbird catered to her hometown crowd of loyal fans once again!

Following opening sets from Willow Smith, The Internet, and SZA, the petite singer-songwriter performed cuts off her debut album Souled Out, the Sail Out EP, and famed mixtape ‘Sailing Soul(s).’

Similar to the up and downs of relationships, Jhené had the crowd riding along with her on an emotional roller-coaster, as she went through heartbreaks, new love and “f**k boys” (as she called them) before going into her fan favorite song “Comfort Inn Ending.”

Similar to last Sunday, Jhené surprise guests again by bringing out Chris Brown to perform their new duet “Drunk Texting,” off his new album X.

Jhené will wrap up her “Enter The Void Tour” on Dec. 21 in Minneapolis.

As previously reported, Rihanna is getting into the charity circuit to raise funds for The Clara Lionel Foundation, which she started in 2012. The foundation – which is named after her grandparents – works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture. On Thursday night, the Pop megastar held the inaugural “Diamond Ball” at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, California, to benefit the growing charity.

The upscale, swanky affair brought out celebrity guests such as Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Brad Pitt, Jimmy Kimmel, Big Sean – who performed his latest hit “I Don’t F**k With You,” Tyrese, Salma Hayek, Terrence J and many more.

RiRi wowed the cameras on the red carpet in a crimson satin dress by Zac Posen and stunning Chopard necklace. She was supported by her family, including both her parents and her grandfather Lionel Braithwaite.

Brad Pitt had the duty of introducing Rihanna’s special performance to the audience, which found her conducting an orchestra and performing a medley of some of her biggest hits including “Diamonds,” “Pour It Up,” “Umbrella,” and “Run This Town.”

“One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of my grandparents,” said Rihanna. “There is truly nothing I’m more proud of and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball – a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational.”

trey-songz-30th-bday

Trey Day. That’s exactly what it was at a Malibu theme park this past Saturday. Hitting the scene with some of his famous friends, Trey Songz brought in the big 3-0 reminiscing on his childhood.

From riding bumper cars to playing carnival games all night, guests such as Chris Brown, Kid Ink, Mila J, Trevor Jackson, and Sevyn Streeter all came out to help Trigga celebrate his birthday the right way. While he and Mila J have been very quiet on their rumored relationships, the two looked very cozy at the event and Trey even won a few prizes for her.

Breezy, who was responsible for singing “Happy Birthday” to the birthday boy, also joined Trey on the mic to perform their remix to “Tuesday” for the patrons of the park to enjoy.

Surely a great way to bring in what is said to be the “life changing” year, Trey’s birthday bash made us wish we were there with our funnel cake in hand too!

Mary J. Blige Shares Her World In New ‘Billboard’ Cover Story

mjb-billboard

Mary J. Blige has become one of the most legendary singers in the R&B genre to date. From her relevancy over the last 20 years to overcoming her own personal battles, the life and times of MJB has been an incredible story to watch. And, if you’re as lucky as some of us, you’ve been able to watch it from her arrival on the scene in the early ’90s, up until where she is now in 2014.

Covering this month’s issue of Billboard magazine, The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul took some time to discuss her 13th album, The London Sessions, as well as her expansive and interesting journey through the music industry. Opening up about her tremulous past, the icon stated: “I was ready to just check out. It was a moment — I can’t get into it — but I saw my life going and I was grabbing for it. I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ That’s when I realized that I don’t want to die. And I switched, and I started praying and crying, and my life shifted right there.”

Now, two years sober, Mary told the famed outlet, “Sometimes I go to dinner with my sister and my friends, but it’s very light now because I don’t drink and hang out anymore,” she says. “So you know I can’t be in a club. If I ever felt like going out and dancing, I could do it. I could sit around everybody while they’re drinking, but I just don’t want to.”

In addition to touching on her past, MJB the MVP, talked receiving advice from her go-to man Elton John, her budding friendship with Sam Smith, what she keeps in rotation, Amy Winehouse, and much more. Perhaps one of the best interviews she’s given recently, you can’t help but love Mary even more after reading this.

Take a look at the pics and behind the scenes footage of the shoot shoot below! And, if you’re looking to read the full interview, click here!

Omarion is set to heat up the airwaves with his hot new single “Post To Be” featuring Jhené Aiko and Chris Brown, but come next month the R&B singer will be heating up bedrooms with his new album Sex Playlist.

Revealing the release date (Dec. 2) and tracklisting last week, Maybach O has now unveiled the sexy album cover, which features his girlfriend and “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” co-star, Apryl Jones. The LP will be his first on MMG/Atlantic and first full-length album in more than four years.

Prior to the DJ Mustard-produced “Post To Be,” the album was preceded by the sexy tracks “Show Me” featuring Jeremih, “Work” and “You Like It.”

Speaking with The FADER previously about the album, O said: “People be like, “So what are you bringing to the game this time?” and I’m just like, “Emotion. Fuckin’ feeling.” When you hear my shit you gonna feel some shit, you gonna think about some shit, because that’s what the core and the true R&B is. Rhythm and blues baby. There’s this El Debarge loop in it—it feels like what people need.”
