Listen: Michelle Obama Dedicates Playlist to President Barack Obama

By

There was plenty of strong love vibes traveling through the internets yesterday, some were even Presidential.

First Lady Michelle Obama had some playlist fun herself on Valentine’s Day 2018, releasing and dedicating a very special Spotify playlist to her hubby, President Barack Obama. Filled with heartfelt and romantic songs spanning multiple genres, the compilation leans heavily R&B and Soul, featuring classic artists like Etta James, Teddy Pendergrass, and Barry White, but plenty of young stars too including Daniel Caesar, H.E.R., Guordan Banks and Bruno Mars.

The 44-song playlist spans decades and tempos too, opening with Andra Day’s ballad “Forever Mine” and staying soulful through Anthony Hamilton’s “The Point of It All” to Luther Vandross’ “If This World Were Mine.” It picks up tempo further in with Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love,” Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and Michael Jackson’s “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.”

After going back modern with Jidenna’s “Bambi” and Kendrick Lamar and Zacari’s “LOVE” the First Lady’s romantic playlist closes with John Legend’s “All of Me.”

“Happy #ValentinesDay to my one and only, @BarackObama,” she wrote on Instagram. “To celebrate the occasion, I’m dedicating a little Valentine’s Day playlist to you!”
