BET Networks is launching a new original digital series titled, “STATE OF R&B” that brings together some of today’s R&B luminaries to discuss the state of the genre’s past, present and future.
The three-episode series will explore the cultural phenomenon ’90s R&B, how technology has altered the R&B music industry, and will wrap up with how Music Heals The Soul – which is the main theme of this year’s SOUL TRAIN AWARDS.
Every episode will feature an esteemed group of celebrity panelists including Sevyn Streeter, Elijah Blake, LaShawn Daniels, Rachel Kerr and Harmony Samuels.
Premiering Friday (Nov. 24) on BET.COM/SORB, the series will also treat viewers to a preview performance from Soul Train Awards honorees Toni Braxton (Legend Award) and the touching acceptance speech from SWV (Lady of Soul) before the televised event.
