Def Jam’s new artist DaniLeigh makes a ‘Play’ in the new video for her recent turn-up single, off her debut EP Summer with Friends.
The artist/choreographer/director mobs up with her female crew and robs a group of men who had accumulated a large amount of cash from their own criminal activities.
After setting up the guys in various room at the famous Pink Motel, the ladies put on a stylish choreographed dance sequence in the parking lot and later in a diner.
“And when it goes down / I be with my team 100 bottles on us / We already up ain’t nowhere to go now / We gon’ keep on doin’ us and let you figure it out,” Dani sings with rap flow. “I just made a play / Watch me make it rain on a sunny day.”
While, DaniLeigh may be a new name to you as an artist, there is a good chance you’ve seen her work as she previously directed the 2013 video for Prince’s song “Breakfast Can Wait.”
