Beyoncé protégées Chloe x Halle have just landed a role in Freeform’s “black-ish” spinoff “grown-ish.”

TV Insider reports that the series, which is set to star Yara Shahidi, will also feature Francia Raisa (Bring It On: All or Nothing) and newcomer Jordan Buhat.

The show is slated to take place at Southern California University, where Chloe x Halle will co-star as twin track stars named Sky and Jazz. Deon Cole, Chris Parnell, Emily Arlook, and Trevor Jackson round out the show’s cast.

Originally set to be titled “College-ish,” the series follows Shahidi’s “black-ish” character Zoey Johnson as she heads off to SCU.

Cole, who co-stars as Charlie on “black-ish,” plays the same character on “grown-ish,” however he is also an adjunct marketing professor in the new series. Freeform nabbed the show after ABC initially passed, according to Variety.

“Our goal at Freeform is to celebrate the power, possibility, and inclusivity of youth culture through our shows,” said Freeform’s EVP of programming and development, Karey Burke. “[‘black-ish’ creator] Kenya Barris blazes new trails in the funniest way possible with ‘College-ish’ and we can’t wait to get schooled by the incredibly talented Yara Shahidi, who is the perfect addition to our Freeform family.”

Freeform has thus far ordered 13 episodes of the show, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2018.
