New Music: R.LUM.R – Close Enough

R.LUM.R

Breaking out with his 2016 viral sensation “Frustrated,” rising artist R.LUM.R (pronounced AR-lamar) returns today with his latest track, “Close Enough.”

The buzzing singer/songwriter continues to genre bend on the infectious pop/R&B jam. Featuring big, explosive production the song follows R.LUM.R’s inner battle of being enamored with someone who might not be right for him.

“I wanna let you go but keep you close / I wanna quit you cold but overdose / I wanna mute you loud in stereo / I need this distance to be close enough,” he sings.

Speaking about the song to Billboard, R.LUM.R said: “Sometimes we want something to work so badly that we’re willing to go looking for any one ray of light that’ll hopefully dispel the overwhelming shadows in a relationship. You get to the point where you try to focus so much on that light, that it blinds you, and you disregard all the darkness around you that’s doing the same. It’s about someone realizing that denial, and is trying their best to work through that cognitive dissonance, between what they feel and what they think needs to happen.”

Fans can catch R.LUM.R performing “Frustrated” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on August 2. His debut EP, AFTERIMAGE is due out August 11. “Frustrated,” “Loveless” and “Close Enough” are all available as instant downloads if you pre-order the EP HERE.
