Jennifer Hudson is more than just a vocal powerhouse. Turns out she can write some pretty viscous battle raps too.
The Oscar and Grammy winner showed off her skills on Wednesday night (June 7) during James Corden’s week-long “Late Late Show” home visit in London. J-Hud took on the UK native in the latest edition of his popular “Drop the Mic” series.
The battle got heated right out the gate when James said he was already battling a loser for her coming in 7th place on “American Idol,” and nowhere remembers her Oscar-winning performance in Dreamgirls because Beyoncé was in it. But, Jenn hit back even harder, commenting on Corden’s weight and not being able to see his penis.
“Listen, London knows you James that part is true / I can tell ’cause everyone here already hates you,” she cracked back, and later topped that diss with a belly pat joke about Corden’s expanding waistline. “Now no more fat jokes, ’cause it’s below the belt / I mean it though but you can’t see it though, just like your penis.”
