Faith Evans returns to the international club scene.
Hot on the heels of releasing her duets album, The King & I, with The Notorious B.I.G., the R&B songstress joins producer Mike City for a groovy new dance single titled, “When I Luv.”
Over a funky bassline, and additional ’90s synth sounds, the track delivers a smooth house/lounge vibe as the duo lay it on the line about how to gain and keep their love.
“Once I open up my heart, I gotta give my all / I love with everything in me,” they sing. “About as loyal as they come / But if you start acting dumb, it’s over / The thing you should know about me / When I love, I love hard.”
“When I Luv” is off Mike City’s upcoming project, The Feel Good Agenda Vol. 1, which drops June 16, and includes additional features from Carl Thomas, Teedra Moses, Lalah Hathaway and more.
