John Legend & Florida Georgia Line Perform “Surefire” & “H.O.L.Y.” at Billboard Music Awards

John Legend turned the T-Mobile Arena into a starry night with his performance of “Surefire” at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night (May 21).

Just a man and his instrument was the theme of the crooner’s performance, as he belted out the commanding ballad while seated at a grand piano. The audience added the ambiance as they lit up the arena with the lights from their cell phones, gently waving back and forth.

Adding a surprise for the performance, John was joined on stage by country duo Florida Georgia Line who performed their hit single, “H.O.L.Y,” which Legend assisted with during portions of the second verse and closing.

John Legend is currently on his “Darkness and Light Tour” which he kicked off May 12 in Miami. He will close out the trek on June 30 at the Essence Music Festival.
