Jake&Papa are turning up the heat this spring with the release of the visual for their brand new single “Phones.” The R&B duo bring the sexy slow burner to life with a seductive video, co-starring L&HHLA’s Moniece Slaughter, who finds a pleasurable escape in a virtual reality world.
Speaking about the song and video, Jake&Papa explain: “Phones is about a very distinct connection. It’s intimate & rare. We wanted to take this time to bring everybody who supports Jake&Papa in closer. So what better way to do that than with Virtual Reality. Warf Productions brought the vision to life & Moniece added a vibe that will last a lifetime.”
“I hear your body callin’ / Callin’ my name / Who need phones, who need phones / I hear your body callin’ / Callin’ for me / Who need phones, who need phones,” they sing on the chorus. Painting a sexy visual to start the second verse Papa sings, “You come over with nothing but a trench coat and your choker on / Then you throw it back like some overalls / I am your best lover overall.”
At the end of the video, Jake&Papa announce their new EP, Tattoos&Blues, which is due out April 28.
