Get lost in rising artist Khalid‘s search for his lover in the recently premiered video for his breakout single “Location.”
The El Paso, TX native brought camera crews to his hometown for the smoldering visuals, which certainly feel a lot warmer than it is in NYC right now. The experience of shooting the video in his hometown was an extremely important thing to him.
“I have so much love for El Paso and being able to return home to shoot a music video there was incredible,” he told The FADER. “In all honesty, I feel as if it was the first city that I’ve ever lived in that truly accepted my creativity. I’m excited to finally give back and show off where I came from.”
Driving his vintage Chevy Camaro through the desert streets, Khalid attempts to locate his lover through cell phone GPS. Featuring pool and house parties, and Texas vistas, the video keeps us fully engaged in his hunt for love.
