Maxwell and Mary J. Blige Set To Embark on “The King and Queen of Hearts” World Tour!

Get Ready for Greatness this Fall!

It has just been announced that Maxwell and Mary J. Blige will be hitting the road together for the first time ever on the co-headlining “The King and Queen of Hearts World Tour” playing arenas nationwide. The 24-show run, kicking off Nov. 5 in Baltimore, MD, will follow on the heels of a dozen European dates in October.

“Mary is the epitome of soul,” says Maxwell. “She embodies all that is woman and speaks for the everyday struggle and triumphs of all women. I can’t wait to get on the road with her.”

Mary notes, “Maxwell’s music is amazingly soulful and calm with a colorful tone that speaks to the hearts of women. His music makes them feel loved and I’m excited to get on the road with him.”

Ro James, who toured with Maxwell all summer, will also join the tour as the special opening guest.

VIP Packages are available starting today (Sept. 7). General public sales start Friday, Sep. 9 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Every online ticket order will include a CD of Maxwell’s new album blackSUMMERS’night and a CD of Mary J. Blige’s forthcoming album. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from every ticket will be donated to Artists of Peace and Justice.

Fans can see Maxwell and Mary make their first televised appearance to promote the new tour on ABC’s “The View” this Friday, Sept. 9.
