Maxwell Performs “Lake By The Ocean,” and Prince Tribute at BET Awards

Beyoncé wasn’t the only one to get the stage wet and wild at the BET Awards.

Smooth crooner Maxwell came in with a late-broadcast performance of “Lake by the Ocean,” emerging with an umbrella as rain crashed down on him. On top of that, he joined in on the Prince tribute train, segueing into a cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” originally recorded and written by Prince but made popular by Sinéad O’Connor.
