Is Chris Brown finally opening up with some vulnerable music?

Last week, the R&B superstar announced he would be releasing a brand single on Thurs. May 5, which will be his 27th birthday, and now he has revealed the title and artwork.

Named “Grass Ain’t Greener,” and portrayed with an eerie wooded image, the song is expected to be a personal reflection of heartbreak.

“MAY 5th. I HOPEFULLY WILL HAVE THE ITUNES LINK ON MY BDAY,” he wrote on an Instagram post early Tuesday morning.

Heartbreak sounds like the theme of his new music, as over the weekend he teased fans with a since deleted post where he announced a new album titled ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon‘ is on the way. It’s been publicly known the Brown has been heartbroken over his break-up with long-time girlfriend Karrueche Tran, but he only treaded lightly on addressing his real feelings on his last album Royalty, which was only released on December 18 of last year.

This new single and project should be interesting! Stay tuned to hear the new single on Thursday.

Back in January, Chris teased a new song on social media, which fans dubbed “Other Side,” but it could very well be the upcoming single.

“The grass ain’t greener on the other side,” he sings. Listen to the preview here.
