With festival season under way, many artists all over paid tribute to Prince this past weekend. With his passing coming in between the two weekends of Coachella there were multiple acts that shared their love for the music icon.

Usher was a surprise guest during Major Lazer’s Sunday set and he came through with a couple of special covers, performing “I Would Die 4 U” and “1999.”

He wasn’t alone either as Sufjan Stevens and buzzing singer Gallant covered “Purple Rain,” and Jhené Aiko also joined Gallant for a duet of “Diamonds and Pearls.”

On the other side of the country, Maxwell paid tribute to Prince during his set at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. “We just lost the greatest musician in the world,” Maxwell said. “He was one of the most beloved, one of the most special… Everyone is up on this stage because of him. Prince was not just once but he will forever be the greatest.”

Maxwell then followed with a musical tribute to the late singer, riffing on “This Woman’s Work” with the intro to Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.”
