New Music: Marsha Ambrosius – Have You Ever (Dennis Brown Cover)

By

Marsha Ambrosius Have You Ever

Marsha Ambrosius deftly transitioned from Floetry songstress to solo R&B siren. She recently added reggae queen to her repertoire with her performance on the upcoming tribute album to reggae legend Dennis Brown, We Remember Dennis Brown. The singer/songwriter covered his hit song, “Have You Ever,” with mellifluous vocals that add a unique touch to this throwback dancehall jam.

Explaining her nostalgic tie to the “Crown Prince of Reggae,” Marsha said, “Dennis Brown and reggae music makes me reminisce, my fond memories of growing up in London when reggae music was and still is prominent…I can still smell the food my mother was cooking, I can hear the vacuum cleaner early hours on a Saturday morning, British pirate radio stations always playing The Crown Prince of Reggae!”

Grab your bae and a chill cocktail while you check out “Have You Ever” below.
