After his honor as 2016’s MusiCares Person of the Year on Saturday, the tribute to legendary artist Lionel Richie continued on Monday (Feb. 15) at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

John Legend started the tribute at the piano with a soulful version of “Easy.” Demi Lovato then took the stage for a potent vocal performance of the icon’s “Hello.”

From his seat, Richie looked on with a smile and watery eyes. Soon, Demi passed the mic to Luke Bryan for “Penny Lover” and Meghan Trainor for “You Are.” The tempo picked up some more for Tyrese’s take on The Commodores’ lively “Brick House.”

But the spotlight was truly on Richie here, so the celebrated singer took the stage to close things out with “All Night Long.”
