After working together on her experimental 2014 album The London Sessions, Mary J. Blige has reunited with British writer/producer Sam Roman to create a track for his own forthcoming album.
The song, titled “Overthinking,” sounds like a soaring ballad from an in-studio video preview of their session together.
“It was the one track that could exist in its current form, but there’s something we could do to it that could be really clever, a reason to do a duet, and that’s’ to change the narrative,” explained Sam. “It was great to get someone else’s perspective.”
