Eryn Allen Kane has slowly crept onto the top of our list of favorite emerging artists this year. Making a very impressive debut with “Have Mercy” this past spring, the Detroit-born, Chicago-based artist has been consistently blessing our ears with her many vocal gifts and soul drenched music.
Most recently Eryn brought us the scorching ballad “Piano Song,” which premiered on BET’s Being Mary Jane. Now, one week later she makes her official debut with the release of her first EP, AVIARY – Act 1. The short 4-song set only boasts 1 previously unreleased track, “Bass Song,” but with only a handful of records, Kane sets herself free and delivers one of the best debuts of the year.
