JoJo was gone for a minute, but now she’s back with the jump-off, clearly.
After the release of her three-song rollout – which hit our ears in August – the talented Boston native has been on an ever-growing high since. Debuting the visual for “Say Love” last month, it’s only right that she now releases the acoustic version of the Harmony Samuels-produced fan favorite.
“Every song on the album is true to me. I can’t sing something – whether I wrote it or not – that I can’t feel. And I had a girlfriend that was in the studio with me and she was going through that exact thing. She had been the first to say ‘I love you’ and he didn’t say ‘I love you’ back. She was crying as I was recording it, and I knew that I had tapped into something and I was putting myself in her shoes; I wanted to feel what she was feeling,” JoJo said of the single.
Absolutely stunning, the raw recording of JoJo proves that she’s surely one of the most talented vocalists of her generation.
