Rising U.K. artist Kyan makes a riveting return with the debut of his stunning new single and accompany video “Sometimes.”
“It represents who I am as an artist at this moment, so I’m really proud of it,” Kyan told Billboard of the breathtaking, bare-bones visuals. Directed by Georgia Hudson, the video encircles Kyan with a naked landscape as he sits and sings at a white grand piano. “There’s nowhere to hide,” he belts.
No matter the scene, switching from sand to sunset to sea, “Sometimes” takes center stage. “I wrote [the song] after a messed up relationship, it was kind of my way of dealing with it,” he confesses. “I decided to go with the original home demo from a live YouTube performance I recorded. It captured all of the emotion I felt when I first wrote the song.”
