During the first episode of his OVO Sound Radio show earlier this month, Drake premiered a series of new tracks including one called “Drama” by emerging Toronto singer Roy Wood$, the newest signee to OVO Sound. Now, they have let loose of the CDQ of the contemplative track.
Roy sings about a female who is surrounded by drama, while Drake attempts to build up a young woman’s confidence. “Different than it was before / People round you want it more / BFF, oh yeah for sure / Wonder what they in it for / Take your last relationship / Look how good you treated him / You could birth like four of him / Girl you never needed him.”
The song will appear on Woods’ upcoming EP Exis, which drops July 31. Take a listen below:
