John Legend and Common put their lip-sync skills to the test on Spike’s new show “Lip Sync Battle.” The Oscar winners went head-to-head by lip syncing to some of their favorite songs.

First up, the Chicago MC took on the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” while the “All of Me” crooner rapped along to Juvenile’s “Slow Motion” as his wife Chrissy Teigen and co-host LL Cool J cheered them on.

“I’ve been buttoned up too long singing this R&B, man,” said Mr. Legend. “I’ve never really sang about being somebody’s outside dick before.”

For round two, both men upped the ante. Common rocked a Jheri curl while belting out Lionel Richie’s ’80s hit “All Night Long (All Night),” complete with some impressive breakdancing moves. Not to be outdone, John Legend put on his Hammer pants and busted out MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This.”

But while they both gave the audience a show, there could only be one winner. In the end, Common was crowned the “Lip Sync Battle” champ.
