Buzzing soulful duo LION BABE (comprised of singer/songwriter Jillian Hervey and instrumentalist/producer Lucas Goodman) have returned with their first new record of 2015. Premiering the Pharrell-produced “Wonder Woman” on UK radio this week, the New York natives look to build on their critical acclaim, as they follow-up their impressive self-titled debut EP, which boasted the herald singles “Jump Hi,” “Treat Me Like Fire,” and “Jungle Lady.”
Over a slinky, percussion lead track, Hervey delivers a raw energy oozing with encouraging and empowering words.
“I’m feeling funny, feeling high / They looking at me, I don’t mind / Now it is easy to walk on by / I don’t want what you got so you better move along,” she sings.
