Throwback Thursday: Peabo Bryson- I’m So Into You

By

Peabo Bryson is a two-time Grammy-Award-winning R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Greenville, South Carolina. He is well known for singing soft-rock ballads and his contribution to several Disney animated feature soundtracks.

“I’m So Into You” was a single released off his 1978 album Crosswinds and his “I’m So Into You: The Passion of Peabo Bryson” compilation. The latter was a terrific overview of the smooth soul singer’s late-’70s and early-’80s hits, featuring the majority of his Top Ten R&B hits for Capitol Records. The single reached No. 2 on the Billboard R&B chart. Bryson is undeniably a romantic balladeer.

I love r&b but a lot of young r&b singers can’t beat this. These “old skool” guys, like Charlie Wilson and Peabo Bryson, are tough to beat, especially live.
